How much water do you consume on a daily basis?
The human body is made up of 75% water; our bodies cannot store water itself so you need to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Our bodies can survive without food for a number of weeks but only a couple of days without water.
You cannot drink too much water as our body rids itself of the excess through urinating. The best indication to tell if you are drinking enough water is the colour of your urine, if there is any amount of colour in it then you seriously need to up your water intake.
Water helps our bodies to flush out the toxins, which in turn helps our bodies with cell reproduction. The more water we drink the more our bodies will be able to purify itself.
By drinking plenty of water you will notice dramatic changes in your skin tone and elasticity, a visible reduction in the cellulite on your body, if you have any and yes weight loss.
Increasing your intake of water will help to naturally speed up your metabolism which is one of the main keys to weight loss.
Not enough water will slow down your metabolic rate and you will find it harder to lose weight. You will also notice that you suffer with water retention, using drugs to eliminate water from your system is not the way, drinking more water throughout the day will help to stabilize this.
Lets plan our 8 glasses, try not to look at drinking water as a huge effort, spread you water throughout the day, keep a water bottle close to you so you can have a drink at your desk or whilst you in the car.
* Drink a glass of water immediately after you wake in the morning before you eat or drink any thing else.
* Drink a glass of water mid-morning, water has no calories so really if you can drink another one go for it.
* Drink a glass of water before lunch this will help to suppress your appetite.
* Drink a glass of water mid-afternoon before your snack, an apple or piece of fruit would be the best snack choice.
* Another glass of water whilst preparing dinner and another one 10 minutes before you sit down to eat.
* Drink a glass of water about an hour before bed, so it won't disturb your sleep by getting up through the night to go to the toilet.
Drinking water before meals helps the digestion process which speeds up the rate at which your body can use the nutrition from your food as energy.
Remember if you wait for your body to tell you that it needs a drink by you feeling thirsty, then your body has already gone into dehydration.
After giving birth to my second child I finally found out what a weight problem was, for five and a half years I carried around an extra 30kgs all of which I couldn't get rid of no matter how hard I tried. Research led me to compile an eating plan using every day foods, this plan has helped me to lose 24kg so far, no food is eliminated and nothing is considered cheating.
If I could show you a way to lose weight without pills, potions or replacement shakes would you be interested?
